paths

Paths develops and elaborates 3d printing strategies using thread reinforced PLA filament and non-planar 3d printing. Resulting in a series of experiments investigating the potentials of the applied techniques; a body of possibilities.


The materials use are PLA, Cotton, Leather and Hemp.


The PLA filament with cotton thread at its core was developed during the project Syntropia in collaboration with Eugenia Morpurgo, Woodkplus and Haratech.


The Grasshopper script used to translate the created paths into a printable code was developed by Sander Hofstee at the University of Arts Linz.


The project was creating with support of the Start- Fellowship of the Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture Civil Service and Sport of Austria (BMKOES/Sektion IV -Kunst und Kultur )
